Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors as well as editors. Ryder's dad came from the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her older sister is Uria. Ryder and her family moved to Mendocino County in California at the age of seven. Ryder was just seven. At the time, there wasn't electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader due to the lack of television. At the age of 12 years old, Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas, a 1986 film which was her first big role. Ryder was only 15 at the time she was cast. Ryder endured bullying while in highschool. Her hope was that acting might change the situation. It didn't turn out. But that didn't stop her following her dreams. Her breakthrough came in 1988 with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful parts in a variety of films. In 1993, Ryder was nominated two times for the Academy Awards.
