Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer recognized for his distinctive mix that combines soul jazz R&B and R&B. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs the artist has worked all over the world. Sunshine was born Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career singing and playing piano at church. In Atlanta she attended Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the city's R&B Scene. The very first song featuring the voice of Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 track. It was remixed and has become included in her set. She also has contributed her vocals for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
